Following its recent relocation to new offices, one of the region’s largest and longest established architectural and interior design practices, Howarth Litchfield, has made another new appointment to supplement the capacity of its talented team.

Following a very busy trading period with commissions from both existing and new clients, as well as a move to new, more spacious offices at Belmont Business Park, Durham, the role has been created as a result of natural expansion.

New architect, Cassie Burgess-Rose, brings with her experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology and its integration with architecture as well as wide-ranging design experience.  She demonstrated a passion for the role at Howarth Litchfield and will be encouraged to develop her skills with the firm at every opportunity as managing director, Jonathan Yates, explains:

“Howarth Litchfield has fully embraced the adoption of BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Revit across all its work  so we were particularly interested in Cassie’s experience to add to our teams.  She is an exciting and talented architect and we are very much looking forward to helping her further develop her expertise. Over the recent past our business has been developing rapidly with a raft of new clients both within and outside of the region, and we know she will be a huge asset to our future expansion plans.”

Adding her thoughts about the new role, Cassie said: “I am thrilled to be joining Howarth Litchfield’s dynamic team at such an important time in its development.  Our new office layout gives us a massive opportunity to work collaboratively and share our creativity, which is what really attracted me to the role.  I am currently working on a range of projects including a college building, care home and a masterplan for a school, so I am pleased to have been able to make an early contribution to the firm’s success.”

With bases in Durham and London, Howarth Litchfield’s multi-disciplined team provides architecture, interior design, surveying, management services and conservation management.  Employing 28 staff, it is a multi award-winning practice and offers wide-ranging expertise spanning the education, residential, hotel and leisure, religious, industrial and healthcare sectors.
