Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.25.51A LOOSE LEAF tea specialist will be popping up in one of the region’s leading department stores as part of a healthy living event.

Easy Teasy, based in Newcastle, will be hosting a pop up tea bar from Tuesday March 29 for two weeks as part of Fenwick Food Hall’s ‘Taste the Goodness’ event, which aims to promote clean, healthy, yet great tasting food.

Tom Webb, 23 and Luci Cowie, 21, owners of Easy Teasy, currently wholesale their range of fine loose leaf tea at the city centre store and will be supporting the event, alongside other food and beverage companies.

Shoppers will be treated to a free tea strainer with every purchase from the range of loose-leaf teas including Peach Sencha and White Pomegranate.

Easy Teasy’s range includes teas such as Pai Mu Dan that have been developed in their purest form, with all processing happening immediately after the tea is plucked in China before being imported into the UK to be packed.  The company’s flavoured teas are produced with the help of artisan blenders based in the UK, ensuring a high level of quality and expertise goes into each individual blend.  The duo aim to ensure their teas are sourced through members of the Ethical Tea Partnership, so they know exactly who is growing it as well as safeguarding farmers and producers.

Tom Webb, director of Easy Teasy, said: “We’re thrilled to be a part of Fenwick Food Hall’s exciting event which will showcase the very best in clean and lean food and drink.

“We’re really proud of our products and we’ve worked hard to ensure we’re sourcing the best ingredients that encompass a range health properties.

“Following our partnership with Fenwick Food Hall, we’ve really been able to identify a strong market for loose leaf tea and have spotted trends in our range, which has been fantastic.

“The event will be a great opportunity to meet new customers and offer them the chance to taste our products fresh from the pot!”

Adam Barber, Fenwick Food Hall Buyer, said: “Taste the Goodness is about nourishing yourself with delicious, wholesome and quality produce; a celebration of eating for sustainable health.  We want to show people that a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to mean boring food, it includes fresh, natural products that taste as good as your body will feel after eating them.  A nutritious diet is not just for the inevitable January detox-it’s for life!’
