A SPONSORED walk around Tees Barrage has helped raise funds for Dementia UK and awareness during Dementia Awareness Week.
Residents, staff and families from Ingleby and Mandale House care homes, both part of the Hill Care Group, took part in the 5k walk alongside local residents and volunteers.
Tesco Community Champion Jess Wilson, from the Ingleby store, and local community volunteer Bill Grief also participated.
Carol Singleton, manager at Ingleby Care Home, said: “Dementia Awareness Week has been running all this week – 15th to 21st May – which is something we celebrate each year with our residents.
“We would like to thank everyone who took part as well as those we met along the walk who threw money into our collection buckets. All proceeds will go to Dementia UK.”
