ONE of the country’s top sports grounds is giving partygoers a Christmas …with Bells On, this year.
Newcastle United’s St James’ Park stadium is pulling out all the stops next month with a calendar of festive lunches, dinners and parties – the highlight of which will be an evening of glitz and glamour.
On Friday 19 December, the stadium plans to give black tie guests a Christmas With Bells On – a premier league party, with fine food and entertainment.
Tickets are still available for the event, which begins with a Champagne reception followed by a four course meal, specially created for the occasion by chefs from Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, which manages conferencing and banqueting at the stadium.
A starter of Northumberland broth will be followed by a main course of either slow roasted chicken supreme or a vegetarian option of lasagne verdi.
Dessert will be a chocolate orange torte with clementine coulis and will be followed by a selection of continental and British cheese, coffee and sweet mince pies.
Along with Christmas crackers and novelties there will be a last night disco, while a caricaturist will be on hand to create lasting – and lighthearted – mementoes of the evening.
The ticket price of £75 per person also includes all house wines, single house spirits and draught beers throughout the course of the evening.
