ESCAPE TO THE COUNTRY ‘ESTATE’ AT LAMBTON PARK

The highly anticipated collection of bespoke homes within the prestigious Lambton Estate are now available for sale.

Apart from a short period in the 1970s Lambton Estate has been private. Earlier this year it was announced that the Lambton family are embracing the opportunity to share the estate’s wonderful environment with a wider audience, and a select number of people will be able to call it home.

Miller Homes at Lambton Park will be a very special place to live, where homeowners can escape to the country as part of this exclusive new community.

The development will comprise 106 high-quality three, four and five-bedroom homes along with one, two and three-bedroom apartments. These have been designed in keeping with the longstanding heritage of the estate by renowned architect Ben Pentreath. Sympathetic features range from the colour tone of bricks to Victorian sash windows, trees and greenery.

There are a range of different home styles to choose from, each named after a species of tree as a nod to their naturistic surroundings. Five-bedroom homes include The Aspen and The Oak, priced from £614,950*. These stunning luxury family homes offer spacious living areas, multiple en suite bathrooms, a ground floor study, double garage and feature bay windows welcoming natural light into the home.

Three and four-bedroom homes include The Cedar, The Willow, The Juniper and The Maple, priced from £279,950*. Stand out features range from walk in wardrobes and French doors to focal entrance halls sure to impress guests as soon as they arrive.

One and two-bedroom apartments are also available and known as The Hazelnut, The Walnut and The Birch, priced from £179,950*. There are ground and first floor options to choose from and some come with an integral garage.

Andrew Somerville, sales director at Miller Homes North East, said: “Without a doubt Lambton Park will be an incredibly special place to call home, from the exclusivity of the estate, its fascinating heritage and prime location, to the bespoke housetypes designed specifically for the estate.”

As part of life on the estate, homeowners will have access to 15km of permissive seasonal walks, as well as retail and community space as funding from this development of new homes is supporting conservation works across Lambton Park. This also includes the restoration of Lambton Castle and its stables, as well as the iconic Lamb Bridge.

Accessibility is another advantage. The development is situated just two miles from the A1 motorway and near to Chester-le-Street and the neighbouring Durham City Centre, making it a welcome retreat to return home to every day.

Andrew added: “Lambton Park feels extremely private yet is within easy reach of the region’s big cities. Whether local people are looking for their own piece of paradise in a forever home or for those who are relocating to the North East, we’re sure they’ll be extremely impressed with what’s on offer and we are looking forward to watching the community grow here.”

The development’s sales office is now open where those interested can find out more about the homes available and life at Lambton Park. A five-bedroom showhome will open its doors in the autumn.

Alternatively, prospective homebuyers can use Miller Homes’ innovative online reservation system. This allows buyers to reserve a new home and pay a reservation fee via the leading housebuilder’s website in a few simple steps at a time and in a place convenient to them, even if the sales centre is closed.
