Road resurfacing is to be carried out in the Delves Lane area of Consett this month.
The work will take place between Saturday 18 June and Tuesday 21 June, and then again on Sunday 26 June.
It will require the closure of the mini roundabout junction at the C16a Delves Lane and Gloucester Road from 7am to 7pm both Sundays (19 and 26 June). On the other days, three way traffic lights will be in place.
Diversion routes and signs will be in place for drivers and buses using the route. Access for local residents and businesses will be maintained. Works are part of Durham County Council’s ongoing capital maintenance programme.
John Reed, the council’s head of technical services, said: “The work is essential to keep the road surface in good condition.
“Our aim is to keep disruption to a minimum, however we’d like to thank people for their patience while these works take place.”
