North East Connected

Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Screen Shot 2015-11-30 at 11.44.24The Forum in Northallerton will play host to an evening of spoken word and comedy next month, as four local performers take to the stage.

Ey Up Stand Up is a brand new event on Saturday 12 December, celebrating Northern-ness, spoken word and comedy.  As it’s so close to Christmas, there will be mince pies available to get people into the Christmas spirit!

The performers are: Kate Fox, Thirsk based comedian and regular on Radio 4; Scott Tyrrell, Newcastle upon Tyne based poet and BBC Slam winner; Mike Edwards, Teesside based character comedian and Paul Staines, Northallerton based part-time performance poet.

“We are delighted to welcome these fantastic performers to our stage here in Hambleton” said Kate Staines, Development Officer (Arts & Recreation).

“So often we need to travel to London, Newcastle, Edinburgh or Manchester to see performers of this calibre. Arts Council England has funded us to help to bring these performers right to our doorstep.”

Tickets are a snip at £5 each and are available directly from the Forum www.forumnorthallerton.org.uk or call 01609 776230

Further information is available from Kate Staines kate.staines@hambleton.gov.uk 01609 767203.
