The contemporary venue, on the banks of the River Wear, will be playing host to acclaimed North East folk quartet, Gilded Thieves, on Friday October 30.
The band, based in Newcastle, have become firm favourites on the festival circulate, performing their unique blend of folk and country to appreciate audiences across England.
Their mix of Northumbrian roots, quirky ballads and foot-stomping blues, will provide the perfect soundtrack for the aptly-entitled Fall Folk event, which also features a themed, three-course meal.
The gourmet menu, created by the expert chefs at event organisers, 1879 Events Management, has been designed to capture a taste of the season using the freshest autumnal ingredients.
It includes a starter of roasted red pepper and garlic soup, a main course of guinea fowl supreme, or pumpkin ravioli for vegetarians, and a dessert trio incorporating mini woodland berry tart, molten chocolate pudding and cherry ice cream.
Steve Welch, Executive Head Chef at 1879 Events Management, which also manages private and corporate events at National Glass Centre said: “Gilded Thieves offer a fresh take on folk and country, so our menu has been designed to offer a fresh taste of autumn too.
“We’ve experimented with the season’s finest ingredients and hope that visitors will fall in love with these seasonal flavours as they enjoy live music throughout the night.”
Tickets for Fall Folk at National Glass Centre are priced at £25 each, including a welcome cocktail, and are available to buy online at shop.nationalglasscentre.com or by calling 0191 515 5555.
