THRIVING digital marketing specialist Espresso Web has opened a Newcastle base as part of aggressive plans to become one of the biggest agencies of its kind in the North-East.
The fast-growing company has secured office space on Pink Lane, close to the city’s railway station, to strengthen its position in the northern half of the region, while allowing it to better serve customers in Durham and Sunderland.
Espresso Web director Stephen Robinson, who set up the Middlesbrough-based full-service digital marketing agency in 2012, said the new satellite office forms part of strategic plans to become a regionally-recognised brand by the end of the year.
“We aim to become a household name across the North-East and be seen as the go-to brand for everything digital marketing. Looking ahead further, one day we want Espresso Web to be a national brand,” he said.
The move to Newcastle comes at a period of significant growth for Espresso Web, which has recently expanded its head office into larger premises on Middlesbrough’s Riverside Park and expects turnover to smash through the £1m mark this year.
The firm, which offers Search Engine Optimisation services, web design, e-commerce website development and social media marketing, is currently undergoing a recruitment drive in Middlesbrough to double its sales force and take on additional web developers, graphic designers and creative writers.
Existing staff based at Espresso Web’s head office will initially support the Newcastle office.
