A family-friendly restaurant in the North East is firing up the grill for a food-filled Father’s Day.
The Karbon Grill Kitchen and Bar, Sunderland, will be serving up a special trans-Atlantic menu on Sunday June 19, with options available to suit all ages.
This includes Pan-American style starters such as Karbon’s Tennessee glazed ribs or buffalo chicken wings, as well as more traditional dishes such as soup of the day and classic prawn cocktail.
Tastes of Great Britain and the Mediterranean will be on offer for the main course, including roasted English sirloin of beef, baked North Atlantic salmon and spinach and ricotta ravioli, while desserts will range from continental cheese and chutney to the USA favourite, red velvet cake.
Luca Tomassetti, Head Chef at the Karbon Grill, said: “Father’s Day is really special so we’re serving up Sunday Lunch with a difference. Not only will families be able to spend some quality time together, but there will also be a chance to enjoy some amazing dishes from Europe and the U.S. too.”
Father’s Day at the Karbon Grill is priced at £21.95 per person for three courses, including a free gift for dads to take away. Bookings are strongly advised and can be made by emailing karbongrill@hgisunderland.com or calling 0191 349 8500.
