Ferguson Seals Millwall Move

Screen Shot 2015-08-17 at 15.12.00Newcastle United defender Shane Ferguson has joined Millwall on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.

The Northern Ireland international left-back, who can also play in midfield, has been on loan with the League One outfit since August, making 28 appearances in all competitions to date.

And Ferguson has now turned that into a full-time deal, signing an 18-month contract at the New Den.

Twenty-four-year-old Ferguson was born in Derry, in Northern Ireland, but came up through the ranks on Tyneside before making his Magpies’ debut in August 2010, at Accrington Stanley in the League Cup.

He made 32 appearances in all competitions for Newcastle, with 19 of those coming as a substitute, and also spent time on loan at Birmingham City and Glasgow Rangers over the last three seasons.
