A by-election for the Broom Ward of Ferryhill Town Council will take place on Thursday, 2 November.
Poll cards will not be issued to electors at the request of the town council.
Instead, voters should attend the polling station at Ferryhill Sports and Education Centre, in Lambton Road, where they will be asked to provide their name and address in order to receive a ballot paper.
Deadlines for the election are:
- registering to vote – Tuesday, 17 October
- applying to vote by post – 5pm on Wednesday, 18 October
- applying to vote by proxy – 5pm on Wednesday, 25 October
