Footpath improvement work is starting at Bull Banks by the River Greta in Bowes on or around 4th July.
Works will take approximately 15 days to complete and are being funded by the Heart of Teesdale Landscape Partnership.
The works are on a popular circular route from the village which suffers from very poor drainage. A 300 metre stretch of the footpath will have drainage improvements and will be surfaced.
The path will remain open during the works but for their own safety members of the public are requested to follow the advice of the contractors if they wish to use the path.
