staffpic3A WATER treatment specialist has a bright future in the pipeline after recruiting four new members of staff.

Hydrochem was set up in 1987 and is now the longest serving water treatment company in the North East of England.

The firm has an impressive list of clients, including Bannatyne’s, Bourne Leisure and the Marriott Hotel chain, and has teams of specialists working at sites across the UK on a daily basis.

With business booming, Hydrochem bosses have now expanded their team by taking on four new engineers to add to a 20-strong workforce.

General manager Linda Hannah said: “We have experienced rapid growth in recent months, and after spending a significant sum of money expanding our premises the next stage of our development was to add to the team.

“We have had a busy start to 2015, and we are confident it is going to be a successful period for us.

“We have secured several new contracts with some big clients, and we are delighted with the way the reputation of Hydrochem has grown.”

Engineers Dan Hodgkins, Craig Hay, Andrew Normanton and Trevor Coull are the new appointees, and will work under team leaders Lee Smith and John Thompson.

They have followed Gordon Gilbraith, who was appointed as sales and marketing manager in the middle of last year, and Hydrochem will be looking to make further additions to the staff in the weeks ahead.

The business specialises in inspecting water systems, diagnosing problems and then supplying solutions across the boilers, heaters, air conditioning units, pipeworks and other water-based equipment as well as the likes of swimming pools and spas.

Hydrochem also uses the innovative Safe-Water facility, which has been devised to include risk assessment of Legionella and other bacterial issues.
