Hambleton residents are reminded that they can still help themselves to free nationally accredited compost at two special events.
Yorwaste, in partnership with Hambleton District Council, is holding the compost giveaways on Saturday 28 May and Saturday 11 June between 8am and 12 noon at Yorwaste’s Tancred Waste Transfer Station, near Scorton.
The compost has been produced from the household green waste collections and has been accredited to the British Standards Institution (BSI) PAS 100 standard, which means it is classified as a high grade soil conditioner.
Residents will be responsible for shovelling and bagging their own compost which will be given away on a first come, first served basis, so please bring your own bags and shovels.
No one will be admitted outside of the dates and times of the compost giveaways and no trade or agricultural vehicles will be permitted as this is a resident-only event.
