The training session, organised by County Durham Housing Group, will be held on Tuesday, 19 April from 10am to 12.30pm at Bowburn Community Centre, Durham.

Claire Maddison, Employment and Skills Officer at County Durham Housing Group, said: “People can find starting at a new workplace quite a nerve-wracking experience if they don’t know what to expect.

“Attendees at our free informal workshop will learn the basic procedures they need to follow and what they’re entitled to when starting a new role.

“Anyone wanting further information, or to book their free place at our workshop, should email employability@cdhg.co.uk or call us on 0191 349 7657.”

County Durham Housing Group’s Employment and Skills Team provides support to tenants of Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes to find a job, access training, gain apprenticeships and venture into self-employment.

Details of future workshops across the county can be found at http://www.countydurhamhousinggroup.co.uk/events-calendar
