Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Free pizza night at Stokesley bistro!

Howard’s in Stokesley is offering foodies the chance to try out their new pizza menu next week- for free.

The bistro, on College Square, is opening its doors on Monday March 6th March from 5pm until 7pm and giving people the chance to sample a variety of new pizzas, devised by head chef Andrew Russell.

As well as popular combinations such as Howards’ homemade meatball and red onion, duck and spring onion and chorizo, Parma ham, pepperoni, salami and jalapeno pizzas, there are a number of new additions, including: – corn-fed chicken, spinach and black olives; chestnuts, roasted pepper and Parma ham; Portobello mushroom, bacon, spinach and egg; goats’ cheese, crushed hazelnuts and black olives; roasted courgette, aubergine, roasted peppers and caramelised red onions; and smoked haddock, tiger prawns, salmon and olives.

Howards’ team of chefs makes all of their pizzas on site, to eat in or takeaway, and they have become one of the most popular dishes on the menu.

Head chef, Andrew Russell, said: “Our pizzas are all homemade using the freshest ingredients and have become so popular that it was time to update what we offer. To give people a chance to try some of our more unusual combinations, we thought we’d have a ‘free pizza’ night. We’re inviting foodies to come along and see what we’re offering- which is quite new and different, but of course the old favourites are still on the menu too.”

Howard’s employs a team of 15 local people and works with local schools and colleges to provide a range of apprenticeship opportunities for young people.

Howard’s was again awarded a five-star hygiene rating last year and also announced a new partnership with Rington’s, making it the only food and drink outlet in Stokesley to sell the popular ranges of teas and coffees.
