Steve ArthursA TYNESIDE cocktail expert, who earned his stripes at two of Newcastle’s busiest nightspots, is roaring to success after landing a top role at another.

Steve Arthurs, 28, from Heaton, who cut his teeth as Bar Manager and Trainer with national retailer Novus Leisure’s Tiger Tiger, on Newgate Street, has been appointed Bar Supervisor at the super stylish Tiger Hornsby on the regenerating Quayside.

Steve brings a wealth of experience across all aspects of on-trade management to the role.

He will be further developing the nine-strong team of mixologists, driving efficiencies and skills forward, as well as working with Bar Manager Sam Boulton in designing the fortnighly trend-leading cocktail menus.

A former Assistant Manager at nearby Livello, Dean Street, he said: “This appointment is a dream job for me. I’m looking forward to developing the team and getting to know the customers to create a superb consumer offering”

“Since we launched last August we have gone from strength to strength” said Tiger Hornsby owner Rachael Frame.  “Steve is exactly the right person to take the bar to the next stage of its progression.”
