The full programme for this summer’s Mouth of the Tyne Festival in North Tyneside has been released.

Alongside the popular concerts at Tynemouth Priory, visitors to the event can look forward to free international street entertainment with performers from France, Spain, Australia and Canada.
More artists have been announced for the Sunday concert at Tynemouth Priory, an event headlined by showbiz legend Lulu and R&B star Lemar.
Additions to the bill include jazz funk band Nick Pride and the Pimptones and indie electro-pop group Shields.
Concert goers can enjoy food from Riley’s Fish Shack and a range of independent street food traders and drinks from Wylam Brewery.
Tynemouth Station will host activities for under-5s as well as a showcase for local performers, interactive installations and Latin American entertainment.
There is a free jazz programme outside the Gibraltar Rock and hundreds of children and volunteers will take part in the annual pageant featuring a range of musical styles and some colourful costumes.
HMS TYNE will also return to North Shields for the event and open to visitors on theSaturday and Tyne Idols will run their Mouth of the Tyne tour on the same day.
Cllr Eddie Darke, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and Tourism said, “We’re pleased to announce such an exciting range of activities at this year’s festival and now visitors have over a month to plan exactly what they’d like to see and do.”

Mouth of the Tyne Festival, now in its 12th year, is organised by North Tyneside Council and supported by Tyne Met College, Kier, Port of Tyne and Arts Council England.
