Full house beckons at BBL Cup and WBBL Trophy Finals

British_Basketball_League_(emblem)The Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham is all set for a sell-out on Sunday for the BBL Cup and WBBL Trophy Finals.

Only a few hundred tickets remain left in the box-office, with one of the most eagerly anticipated days in the British basketball calendar set to attract a near 10,000 crowd.

Doors are already having to be opened earlier than planned (11am) to cope with the numbers expected and supporters are being urged to arrive early so they make sure they play their part in creating British Basketball history.

Hopes are high that a record crowd for a women’s game in the UK will be set, with last year’s high tide mark of 5,000 likely to be beaten when WBBL Trophy holders Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters tussle with Barking Abbey Crusaders in a midday tip-off.

A full-house is then expected for the main event when Esh Group Eagles Newcastle defend their silverware against Leicester Riders in the BBL Cup Final at 3.30pm.

With a spectacular BBL dunk contest lined up for 2pm and urban dance group Flawless bringing even more energy to the floor, fans are set for an action packed and unforgettable day.

Any remaining fans wishing to attend on Sunday are advised to make a purchase urgently to avoid being disappointed, with only a limited number of tickets now available. CLICK HERE to grab your tickets whilst you can.

Those unable to make it to Birmingham can follow the day via a live and free (worldwide) streaming service which is accessible via www.skysports.com or www.webcastsport.com and supporters can also keep up to date on social media using #BBLCup #wbblfamily

Tickets for the 2017 edition of the BBL Cup Final are also now on sale. CLICK HERE for more information
