Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Global Deal For North East Security Specialist

18628A leading North East security and risk management consultancy has strengthened its international ties after partnering with a specialist African driving training facility.

Trident Manor has collaborated with OnCourse, an African-based training provider for defensive driving, to create a specialist programme aimed at managing driving and security risks, in difficult and hostile environments.

The Specialist Security Driving Programme is primarily delivered at OnCourse’s 40-acre site in Uganda, where its owner, Mick Farmer, is based, as well as globally.

Based on Aycliffe Business Park, Newton Aycliffe, Trident Manor works with national and international clients to identify, reduce and manage the security and crisis management risks that they face whether in the UK or internationally.

The company was established in 2013 by Andy Davis, a security and risk management expert, who possesses more than 25 years’ global experience, including providing security for senior members of the Royal family and Government Ministers, including the last three Prime Ministers, while working as a diplomatic security specialist.

Andy Davis, managing director of Trident Manor, said: “By combining the facilities and skills of the OnCourse team with the international crisis and security experience of Trident Manor, we are able to create a programme that will improve driving skills, reduce repair and replacement costs and enable hostile security situations to be proactively identified and avoided.

“Our aim is to keep people, organisations and their assets safer by managing the risks that they may face. Mick is well-known and respected in the field and I have known him for many years, so I am delighted to be partnering with OnCourse.”

In addition to working as a Diplomat, Andy has held a number of international corporate security positions, including representing a multi-billion dollar construction and development firm in the Middle East as its Head of Security, Safety and Risk. He is also a member of the Chief Security Officer (CSO) Round Table – an exclusive group of leading global security executives – and regularly speaks at security and risk conferences.

Mr Davis added: “Recent events in Tunisia, Egypt and Paris have shown that security risks and vulnerabilities can occur anywhere, so it is vital that individuals and companies consider and manage the risks that they might face. We help clients understand the real risks that exist and develop cost effective, professional solutions to manage them in a practical and sensible manner.”
