Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

JDP Community ChallengeCommunity organisations in County Durham that are in need of a free DIY SOS- style make-over still have time to grab a golden ticket in a generous company’s Community Challenge.

JDP Contracting Services, based in Newton Aycliffe, is offering the services of a 40-plus strong crew from its workforce to provide a day of willing labour along with free materials in order to help a worthwhile community project.   Organisations have until Friday June 24 to apply for a Golden Ticket.

Last year the company had entries from a wide range of community groups including village halls, a nature trail, petting zoo, church groups and a rugby club.  Trimdon Grange Community Centre won the day and the JDP workforce carried out various jobs including raising the stage, replacing all the guttering and painting.

UK Steel Enterprise is supporting the 2016 Challenge with cash from its Community Support Fund, set up to back projects that improve the lives of people living in steel areas. The Tata Steel business support subsidiary has also backed JDP Contracting Services’ successful expansion and opening of a second operational centre in Sheffield with a six-figure investment.

Chris Hyde, Managing Director of JDP, said, “Everyone at the company feels that it’s a real privilege to be able to give something back to our local communities in County Durham and, for the first time this year, in Sheffield as well. We are all looking forward to our day with the Golden Ticket winners.”

For details of how to apply for a Golden Ticket call 01325 307649 or email info@jdp-contracting.co.uk . Deadline for applications is Friday June 24 2016.
