Mbro Council logoA MIDDLESBROUGH business is flourishing in a new permanent home in the Cleveland Centre after beginning life as a test-trading project in The Emporium.

J’Adore – the brainchild of young entrepreneur Ashleigh Hall – began life as the For Her lingerie store, and has since undertaken two relocations, a name change and a stock overhaul.

After additional lines of stock, including hair extensions and accessories, began to sell more rapidly than lingerie, Ashleigh decided to move her focus, and her business.

From The Emporium it was only a small jump to a mobile unit in a prime spot near Boots in the Cleveland Centre, and the business has gone from strength to strength since then.

Now J’Adore has found a permanent home opposite The Perfume Shop, which Ashleigh hopes will be her final move: “I’m so happy that I’ve finally been able to rent my own unit in the town.

“I’ve loved being in the Cleveland Centre while my business has grown and developed, and the support I’ve received has been great.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming back old customers, and meeting new ones, in my new shop.”

It was recently announced that The Emporium project would be taking a break when its short-term residency at the former Masham Pub unit came to an end, although new premises and test trading opportunities will be sought in the future.

• Middlesbrough Council’s Business Support Team will continue to offer a range of support to new and existing businesses, including advice on premises, training, and funding. The team can be contacted on 01642 729007.
