Investing in its corporate and commercial team has helped North East law firm Hay & Kilner break into the list of the region’s top ten legal advisers for merger and acquisition work.
The Newcastle-headquartered firm is ranked eighth in the latest Experian review of the region’s corporate market following a busy year.
Recent projects on which the team has advised include the management buy-out at North East construction firm P F Burridge & Sons, the sale of property business Van Mildert, the acquisition by family-owned motor franchise Wingrove Motor Company of the Peugeot dealership on Benton Road in Newcastle, and the management buy-out and acquisition of Indigo Software (Holdings) Ltd.
Hay & Kilner’s corporate and commercial team has previously been highlighted in the independent industry bible The Legal 500 as delivering ‘first-rate advice that is thorough and comprehensive,’ while it also recently added solicitor Ben Jackson to the team to help meet growing demand for its services.
