Growing North East regeneration specialist, Galliford Try Partnerships North, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Andrew Rennie as Development Director.
The 39-year-old is delighted to be returning to the region where he grew up – having been schooled at Hexham before heading south to Kingston University to study surveying and development.
He has worked on major urban regeneration projects for Lend Lease, as well as in successful land teams for Barratt and Berkeley covering immediate and strategic land opportunities. More recently he was employed by Capita, advising Homes England and Trafford Council on land and property matters.
Now living in Hexham once again, he said: “I am delighted to be joining a business which is in something of a unique position, being part of a large, national operation but also with a very local focus. This means we have the stability and can tap into the experience of a major industry player but also the flexibility of a smaller team.
“We have the ability to deliver much needed homes, across many residential tenures, by operating either as contractor – building homes for registered providers – or a house builder, developing new homes for sale through the Linden Homes brand.
“I think there is huge potential to deliver more projects like the Gateshead Regeneration Partnership, where we are developing over 2,000 homes with Gateshead Council and Home Group. By using our relationship and funding from Homes England, we can acquire land, obtain planning permission and bring build ready sites to the partnership.”
