A NORTH Tyneside care home has welcomed its newest – and smallest – member of the team; Heidi, a miniature dachshund.
And while, at just three-years-old, she is by far the youngest at Bay View House, overlooking the beach at Whitley Bay, she is undoubtedly one of the most popular.
With 83 bedrooms over five floors, Bay View House – owned by Prestwick Care -provides residential care, general nursing, dementia residential care and dementia nursing.
“And everyone just loves her,” said owner and deputy manager Alison Danskin.
“She curls up on the residents’ knees and just seeing her trotting round the home really lifts everyone’s spirits.”
