Thirsty Thursday, Stokesley’s free networking event, returns next Thursday and will be joined by a well-known local businessman.

Bob Cuffe is regional managing director for Trinity Mirror North East and will be sharing his thoughts on how businesses can work with the media and future developments.

Thirsty Thursday is a free, monthly networking event for businesses and organisations in and around Stokesley to exchange ideas and expertise as well as promote their services, skills and opportunities.

Each event attracts over 40 businesses and next month Thirsty Thursday will mark its second anniversary.

The networking group is the current holder of the Hambleton Champion 2016 award from Hambleton District Council, receiving the recognition for providing support and resources for local businesses.

The networking event was the brainchild of Anna Addison, who runs PR company Anna Addison Associates, and Sue Thompson, who runs Catch Design Management.

Anna said: “I often get asked about the ever-changing and evolving state of the media so we thought it’d be useful to invite one of the region’s leading names to share his thoughts. Our last event attracted record numbers as people returned after the summer break and it’s great to see lots of new people as well as our regulars too.”

Thirsty Thursday, held at The Mill on Springfield, is free to attend.
