North East riding establishment Penshaw Equestrian Centre is harnessing the power of horses to reinvigorate the region’s corporate team-building market.

The established, British Horse Society approved Equestrian Centre has launched a unique corporate team-building day targeted at North East businesses looking for an away day with a difference.

Standard corporate day packages include a variety of fully qualified, instructor-led exercises, which use the therapeutic, physical and psychological power of horses to encourage key corporate skills such as leadership, confidence, trust and patience.

Devised for a minimum team of six people, the day combines traditional physical and mental team building exercises with equine-specific activities. Already tried and tested with local companies, the horse-powered formula has received very positive feedback.

Centre Manager Jen Lightfoot said: “Horses are naturally intuitive and possess sensing capabilities far more developed than humans, they don’t care what your job title is or how far up the corporate ladder you sit. We have specifically developed our activities to achieve the popular corporate objectives of team bonding, confidence, trust and leadership but with an added equine element.

Situated at the foot of Penshaw Monument in Sunderland, Penshaw Equestrian Centre is situated closely to the A1 and A19 motorways and easily accessible for businesses from across the North East.Standard corporate day packages starts from £60 per person and run from 10am-3pm.
