THE organisers of a food and drink festival in aid of a North-East hospice are appealing for stall-holders and entertainers.

Butterwick Hospice Care’s first ever Food and Drink Festival takes place at Preston Park, Stockton, between 7pm and 11pm on September 14 and 15.

As well as delicious food and drink, there will also be live music from local entertainers, including singer and guitarist Jake Balfour.

Butterwick fundraiser Sarah Kernan, who is organising the event, said: “This is the first time we have staged a food and drink festival and we are delighted to have the support of such a lovely location as Preston Park.

“We are keen to hear from stall-holders who want to be part of the festival, as well as local musicians who want to showcase their talents.”

Entry tickets for the festival are £5 and you can register at www.butterwick.org.uk/events/foodanddrink.
