Middlesbrough-headquartered Industrial Technology Systems Limited (ITS) has bolstered its ranks with the appointment of two new sales account managers.
The expanding specialist independent systems integratorhas added experienced duo Joanne Rout and Paul Walker to its business development team.
Joanne Rout has had a long and distinguished career in the North East process industry. Combined with experience in the technical education sector, she has developed a unique set of skills, knowledge and industry insight.
Her career in the region began when she joined the Process Technology Group at ICI from university and progressed to more senior management positions in ICI, Johnson Matthey, at Durham University and, most recently, NEPIC. She has previously also run her own training and business development consultancy business.
During her industrial career, she has managed product and process development projects from new pharmaceuticals and materials to fine and commodity chemicals for a wide range of chemical and downstream businesses. These include 3M, TRW, Honda and Ford.
She gained commercial experience as a technical sales manager, travelling internationally, building business relationships with purchasing managers and plant managers from major global chemical companies worldwide.
Meanwhile, Paul Walker has a similarly varied industry background and has a career spanning a range of industrial sectors, products and companies.
His previous employers include Aircon Group, ABB, Ralph Coidan, J. Murphy & Sons, CEA Towne Ship Riggers and BSC. At these companies he has fulfilled a variety of roles covering sales, marketing and administration.
Some of his career highlights include helping Aircon to the most profitable year in its history in 2018 and assisting Ralph Coidan to improve a department turnover from £2,000 per month up to £300,000 per month by the time of his departure.
