North East Connected

Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Influx of home buyers set to create their very own dream design

Grand property designs in the Tees Valley are set to increase further thanks to a successful event aimed at simplifying the process for home buyers.

More than 100 people gathered at the Wynyard Park and Developments by Joseph Homes open afternoon which set out the steps to achieving a self or custom-build property.

The event was hosted at Poppy Cottage over the weekend, which is thought to be one of the most expensive show homes in the region.

Experts from a number of Tees Valley businesses were on hand to speak to prospective buyers about the benefits of choosing to build your own home – from finance to interior design – at one of the North East’s most exclusive locations.

Matt Johnson, Wynyard Park Development Director, said: “We were absolutely delighted with the turnout at this special event which aimed to show the public the benefits of both self and custom-build homes as well as the steps involved.

“Our guests were able to speak to a wide range of specially selected experts that will be able to support them through each and every stage of the process at Wynyard Park.

“Not only that, they were able to see first-hand how special Wynyard Park is as a place to live and take a look around Poppy Cottage, which really is a fine example of what buyers may be able to achieve if they opt for a self or custom-build property.”

Developments by Joseph Homes offers a selection of designs for customers to choose from or will work with purchasers to produce bespoke designs to create the home of their dreams within their budget.

The purchaser has the opportunity to make individual changes to match their particular requirements, whilst Developments by Joseph Homes project manages the custom build on behalf of the customer.

Attending the event were representatives from Build Store, experts in self and custom-build mortgages, who offered financial advice to prospective home builders.

Developments by Joseph Homes’ in-house architect and Summerhouse Architects offered one-on-one consultations and MKM Building Supplies discussed the materials needed for each stage of the build process.

Specialist kitchen supply company Nixons, which has more than 40 years of experience in kitchen design and manufacturing was in attendance, as well as JDM Earth, providing advice about smart home equipment and vehicle charging ports.

Interiors design specialist Lauren Ridley from Brass & Rose discussed how to achieve luxury finishing touches.

Jennifer Mullen, Director of Operations at JDM Earth, said: “The afternoon brought together a fantastic range of experts to ensure that visitors could gain insight and inspiration prior to commencing the build of their dream home.

“Wynyard Park and Developments by Joseph Homes has opened up opportunities not only to those interested in completing self and custom build homes but also local companies such as ourselves who enjoy providing a bespoke service to our customers.”

Matt added: “The event was testament to how we work with a range of local businesses to help people achieve their dream home and we hope to host similar events in the future.

“Nothing gives us more pleasure than handing over the keys to new home owner’s very own grand design and welcoming them to Wynyard Park.”

Wynyard Park has now sold over 70 self-build plots and of the recently released final phase, only several remain.

Future planning is now underway to create further gated communities to meet the demand for self and custom builds.
