Middlesbrough-based Ithica Films has been named ‘Creative Business of the Year’ at the North East Business Awards.

The Creative Business of the Year accolade also comes fast off the back of Best Digital & Creative Company at last year’s Best New Business Awards.

Matt McGough, Managing Director, said: “This award means a lot to all of us.  From humble beginnings three years ago we have grown a skilled and talented team into an award-winning film business who create engaging and intelligent films.”

Matt established the business after a decade working in the industry. A graduate in Television Production his mission was to raise the bar in film making and create remarkable films that make an impact. Covering everything from creative direction and script development, through to filming, design and post-production, the company has carved a reputation for filming things from a new perspective using the latest technology.

Matt added: “Creativity is a vital part of our work and it is our creative approach that really sets us apart, been recognised for this at the North East Business Awards is a real honour.”
