Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

It’s not Christmas until… Santa’s mischievous elves arrive at Teesside Park!

Santa’s elves have arrived at Teesside Park ready to deliver mischief and merriment to shoppers throughout the festive season.

The elves will kick-off celebrations on Saturday 23rd November at 1pm, where they’ll lead a fun and energetic ‘Elf n Fitness’ workout for local kids. It’s the perfect chance for children to get into festive fancy dress, or simply come along and join in the fun, for the 20-minute session on the plaza area close to Superdrug and Superdry stores.

In the run-up to Christmas*, the elves will be paying shoppers at Teesside Park plenty of visits, spreading the festive cheer with their random acts of kindness, as well as some extra special surprises. Visitors are encouraged to snap an ‘Elfie Selfie’ with either one of the real elves, or one of the small hidden plush elf toys and life-size elf, which will be stationed at a different spot each week – by using the hashtag #ElfAtTeessidePark on Instagram and Twitter to automatically be entered into a draw to win a £250 gift card.

Amongst all the fun, Teesside Park is also encouraging shoppers to give back to those in need this festive season, naming Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice as its official community Christmas partner. Visitors can donate a small gift to the charity, by dropping unwrapped presents to any of the stores or restaurants at Teesside Park or to the Management Centre (between Sports Direct and Hays Travel).

For festive treats and frolics, Teesside Park is also hosting German Bratwurst and Yorkshire Pudding food stalls and a dedicated ‘Selfie Cube’, where visitors can capture their very own Christmas moments with friends and family.

On Saturday 30th November, Santa Claus will be coming to Teesside Park to meet and greet children in a grotto with a difference. From 10am – 2pm children will have the chance to visit the man himself as well as receive a free gift on a Christmas bus, transformed into a winter wonderland by Arriva.

Mike Clarke, centre director at Teesside Park said: “They might be cheeky, but our elves are full of fun and there’s nothing they like more than spreading Christmas cheer. Christmas is one of our favourite times of the year at Teesside Park and we have a wide range of retailers, restaurants and leisure outlets for everyone to enjoy over the festive period.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone down over the coming weeks in the run up to the big day!”

Teesside Park will have extended late-night opening hours in the lead-up to Christmas, but individual stores will vary. For more information, please visit the website.
