Award winning training company JB Skills Training has launched an innovative program based on feedback from people trying to get into work or change careers.
The Gateway To Employment has been designed by the training company, that in the last three years has put over 2000 people through qualifications, to ensure that everyone has the chance at the career of their dreams.
Lead by Sarah Pearce who is based in Sunderland at the JB Skills HQ, the programme covers a range of modern jobs roles, including IT, hospitality, mechanical, social media, hair and beauty and business admin. Sarah explains further:
“Many people dream of a career, but don’t know the route into it, don’t have the experience or don’t have qualifications, but they are more than capable of doing a great job! Our Gateway will open doors and give them the confidence of knowing they are a good candidate!”
The 12-week course includes just four weeks in the classroom, followed by eight weeks in a work placement chosen by the learner. And those with 100 percent attendance will also receive £15 per week towards travel expenses. Plus on completion of the course, each learner will receive a free tablet!
Sarah continued:
“This is a great avenue to take if you really have an interest in something that could become a particular job, such as social media or beauty, and you just need that break. We will give you a qualification, improve your CV, increase your knowledge and give you the best chance possible of getting that foot in the door.”
