A Newcastle company that is a market leader in subscription-based technology to help colleges and other FE training organisations and universities improve quality is looking to boost headcount.

Mesma is planning to grow its improvement partner associate team and software developer capability over the coming six months. The move willhelp national FE colleges and independent training providers implement effective quality improvement systems aligned to external inspection requirements.

The education support specialist continues to see strong demand for its subscription-based software and consultancy services, which allow customers to manage quality improvement processes to help them enhance provision for learners and employers, as well as being better prepared for Ofsted inspections.

Its now looking to bring on an undisclosed number of improvement partners, who can help learning and skills teams to evaluate current performance levels, identify areas for improvement and plan change effectively.

The company is keen to support flexible opportunities to encourage diverse groups of people into software development by providing part-time, home-based roles.

The investment in additional resources is being made after Mesma, which is targeting revenues in excess of £350,000 in 2019, secured a number of new customers in recent months in the UK and Middle East.

These include Middlesex University and Bedford College, while London South East Colleges, Sunderland-based training company Milltech Ltd, youth charity Harington Scheme, Hays Travel and Skillnet are long standing customers.

The firm is also seeing strong demand for its services from new entrants in the apprenticeship market, continuing to expand its work into the university sector on the back of government policy and funding changes.

Mesma director Louise Doyle said: “We have continued to build an impressive portfolio of national clients since we started six years ago and our ever-growing number of customers and projects on our roster, is testament to the fantastic work carried out by our team.

“We are going for growth and looking for ambitious and talented people to join us as we look to improve our services to customers even more. Everyone brings something different, new skills and new views, and we will be delighted to have them on board.”
