A FORMER X Factor finalist and star of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here is heading to the North East to appear at a leading charity ball this autumn.
TV heartthrob Jake Quickenden will be headlining at the annual Divas and Diamonds ball, taking place this year at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead Hotel on October 10.
The event, now in its sixth year, was set up by a group of the region’s business women who created a women-only evening of fun and fund-raising which has grown in popularity every year.
Jake will be starring at this year’s event, which also includes a range of other entertainment, shopping and dinner.
This year Divas and Diamonds is raising funds for Cash For Kids, having previously raised thousands of pounds over the years for the Hilton Foundation, St Oswald’s Hospice and the Teenager Cancer Trust.
Tickets for this year’s events are £65 each or £700 for a table of 12 and can be booked by emailing sparkles@divasanddiamondsnewcastle.co.uk.
“Divas and Diamonds gets more popular every year and we really think this one is going to be the best ever,” said Lynn Waterman, Chair of the event committee.
“It’s great to have a performer of Jake’s calibre headlining for us and we’ve still got a few further surprises about the event that will make it even more special.”
