Laying of the first Poppy and Remembrance Sunday

Screen Shot 2015-10-30 at 15.54.57MIDDLESBROUGH’S elected Mayor Dave Budd will lay the first poppy on the Field of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough at 10.40am on Thursday, November 5.

The Mayor and Civic Party will then assemble at the Town Hall and approximately noon the Mayor will turn a page in each of the Books of Remembrance to honour the men and women from Middlesbrough area who lost their lives in each of the two World Wars and other conflicts.

Details of the arrangements for the Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service on Sunday, November 8 are as follows:

10am Official Party assembles at One Life Centre car park, Park Road North

10.30am Parade forms up

10.40am Parade leaves Park Road North for the Cenotaph

11.30am Service ends, Official Party makes its way to the Saluting Dais

11.36am March Past

Following the march past, the parade will proceed from the Cenotaph to Park Road South, via Linthorpe Road to disperse in Park Road North.
