Screen Shot 2016-01-25 at 06.14.50The best wrestling action in the UK comes to Blyth on this Saturday 30th January as the superstars of LDN Wrestling are set to rumble through thePhoenix Theatre as part of their 2016 nationwide tour to celebrate their 12h anniversary. Featuring some of the country’s top grapplers, including LDN British Champion Alan Lee Travis and the mysterious Dark Lord, a spectacular night of high-impact action is guaranteed.
Celebrating its 12th anniversary this year, the LDN promotion has become synonymous with top quality live events, perfectly blending the glitz and glamour of American sports entertainment with traditional British wrestling to create a modern approach to wrestling that is always a great night out for people of all ages – from children to grandparents, LDN shows have something for everyone.
The group represents both the present and future of UK wrestling; LDN has already filmed several episodes of the revamped series of classic British TV institution World of Sport, which will air on ITV later in 2016. LDN’s London base means the group attracts the top athletes and best coverage on the UK wrestling scene but the company is anything but a regional promotion.
Already scheduled to run more than 180 events in 2016, LDN has promoted shows across the whole country, from South Shields to Cornwall, as well as holding events in Scotland and Wales, bringing the best of British wrestling to tens of thousands of enthusiastic, energetic fans.
“It’s always an honour to defend the LDN title in front of our great fans” says the 30 year old Hampshire resident Alan Lee Travis, head coach at LDN’s training schools and one of the hottest British wrestling prospects in years. “I’m looking forward to getting to Blyth and giving them a match to remember”.
Dark Lord, the self-professed sadistic, violent man of mystery, is considerably less humble; “I’ve wrestled all around the world and came to LDN because I’ve heard this is where the real competition is” claims the masked maniac. “Forget about beating me; there’s nobody who can even last five minutes in the ring with me and it’s going to be no different at the Customs House if my opponent has any brains, they won’t even turn up…”
Also on the show, the Irish Heart throb Flex, The Duke of London Jonathan Hardwick, fan favourite JJ and so many more,
