A senior private client litigator has relocated from London to join law firm Sintons.

Emma Saunders has moved from Top 100 law firm Russell-Cooke to take up a role as senior associate in Sintons’ specialist dispute resolution team.

Emma has niche expertise in handling contentious probate and disputed Court of Protection matters, and has been praised by Legal 500 for her work. She advises on disputes arising from trust and probate issues, including will challenges, Inheritance Act claims and administration disputes.

Emma is one of only a few full members of ACTAPS (Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists) in the region.

She moves to Sintons at a time of growth for the firm, which has seen a number of new senior figures added to the team to help support its Strategy for Growth.

Emma said: “I am very pleased to join Sintons at a time of strong progress for the firm. While it may be based in Newcastle, its reach and reputation is certainly national, and I look forward to playing my role in developing the Sintons brand and business further.”

Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “Emma is a very experienced and highly capable lawyer in her specialist field and we are delighted that she has chosen to move from London to join us here. Sintons is an ambitious law firm and have made a number of senior appointments in recent months, with more new additions planned.

“Emma shares our ambitions and vision of setting the standard for legal excellence and I am confident her abilities will help develop our leading dispute resolution department even further.”
