Metro Radio’s breakfast show presenters Steve and Karen turn on the 20,000 city centre Christmas Lights at 6.30pm at Grey’s Monument on 19th November. Joining Steve and Karen on stage from 5.30 pm will be live music from Abi Garrido and North Road , Panto Stars and a visit from Santa.
intu Eldon Square will be joining in the fun with a host of exciting activities in the shopping centre from 4 – 8 pm.
Spark! internationally acclaimed street theatre – a magical music, movement and lighting spectacular will bring the wow factor to the malls at 4.30 pm, 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm.
Youngsters are invited to be part of the action by collecting a FREE illuminated wrist band on the day from the customer service desk, outside Fenwick, from 4.00 pm – while stocks last!
Meet the Snow Princesses (outside Boots) from 4.00 pm, at a magical arts & craft station where children can enjoy free face painting, and create their own tiaras, snowflakes and snowman masks.
Meet the stars from Aladdin, this year’s panto at The Tyne Theatre and Opera house, and be in with a chance of winning a family ticket from their stand just near to Whittard of Chelsea.
Meanwhile, outside adidas, there’s the opportunity for teenagers to check out their singing skills to win a fun party with Ginger Parties, and Santa Claus and his elves will be popping in centre to take bookings for his brand new grotto opening this Christmas at Eldon Leisure.
Sensational Barberpop quartet Scarlet Street will be singing their own brand of Christmas, and ethereal crystal ball jugglers Calvos will be working their magic throughout the centre.
