The ‘Concept Cup’ five-a-side football tournament at Goals Gosforth included teams from Mincoffs Law, NCFE and Quantum Law LLP who included ex-Sunderland and premiership player Marco Gabbiadini on their team sheet.

After 30 matches the tournament ended in victory for Utilitywise with a 5-0 win over Barclays. Player of the tournament was awarded to Matty Brotherston from Barclays.

Daniel Evans from the Concept Group organised the event and played on the day. He said: “This was our second tournament and once again it was a great success. We raised £4000 for a brilliant charity and had a great time doing it.

“Calvert Trust Kielder is a fantastic place which helps lots of people so we’re very grateful for the support of so many businesses and delighted with the amount raised.”

The tournament ended with trophies presented by Marco Gabbiadini and a raffle with prizes including a short break at Calvert Trust Kielder, signed NUFC ball and tickets for major sporting and entertainment events.

Corporate & Events Fundraiser at Calvert Trust Kielder Hazel Ditchburn said: “The money raised at this event will make a huge difference to Calvert Trust Kielder and everyone who benefits from the charity and our centre.

“We were thrilled that the Concept Group and all the other regional businesses involved chose to support Calvert Trust Kielder and really appreciate the effort they all made.”
