One of the region’s most successful fresh flower wholesalers has appointed a leading North East commercial law firm to assist with its expansion and future growth plans.
Bon Bloemen, which is based on the Team Valley, has appointed PG Legal to oversee its commercial legal matters including its terms and conditions and contracts.
David Bland, who has been operating the business since 2010 with his wife, Danielle, said: “This is an important time of growth for Bon Bloemen as we take on more clients and operations go from strength to strength. We have recently added a mezzanine level to the warehouse and doubled our refrigeration space which means we can store and provide more flowers, plants and sundries to businesses across the North East and beyond.
“We appointed PG Legal to oversee these important projects to protect and nurture our growing business and our employees. They are very responsive, and what stood out to us was how they delivered an efficient and professional service, whilst also being very personable and friendly. We have a great relationship with the team and we will be using them for all legal matters in the future. Moving forward, with the assistance of PG Legal, we hope to secure funding from the North East Fund to take our business to the next level.”
The company sources hundreds of types of flowers and plants from across the world to supply florists and businesses across the North East.
PG Legal director and litigation specialist Jonathan Fletcher, said: “We are delighted to acquire Bon Bloemen as a client. David and Danielle have a fantastic business which we are proud to be associated with. Working closely alongside them has enabled us to understand their business inside and out which in turn has enabled us to create bespoke solutions designed to meet their commercial requirements.
Forming part of the PG Legal team advising Bon Bloemen is employment solicitor, Damian Robson, who is helping to identify any possible future issues to ensure the long term growth of the business and which will allow Bon Bloemen to attract future talent in the region.
Jonathan continued, “Bon Bloemen is a perfect example of a local SME business which we aim to support. We are passionate about the growth of local businesses, which is why we ensure that our team provide an accessible and friendly service.”
