BOOKS by a renowned local historian are currently available free of charge across Middlesbrough.
The works by Norman Moorsom – known locally as ‘Mr Middlesbrough’ – are available from Community Hubs and Teesside Archives.
The works cover a number of titles written and compiled over Mr Moorsom’s long career.
Titles free to pick up are:
- The Life and times of William Fallows JP – a biographical sketch of the father of Middlesbrough and the Tees.
- The Middlesbrough 150 Celebrations of 1980
- The County Borough of Teesside: a souvenir of its formation, April 1st 1968
- Touching the Past: an experience of history – a warm account of Norman’s development as a historian and an illustration of how history can enrich our lives.
- Everyday Life in Victorian Cleveland, Volume 2: Pastimes and Entertainments in 1859
The books will be available while stocks last – strictly first come, first served.
