Karol was up against eight other agencies nationwide to secure the PR contract for two of BVG-Airflo Group’s brands, Fishtec and Samuel Windsor.
It is a major coup for Karol as BVG are one of the country’s biggest multi-channel retailers of clothing, footwear, household and fishing tackle products.
Each year the group, based in Powys, Wales, distributes over 20million catalogues and places over 3,700 pages in national newspapers. As a result, the BVG Airflo Group ships more than 1.8million orders to customers and sales grew to £67.5million at the end of 2014.
Karol will handle PR for the launch of Fishtec’s new FishSpy product – a revolutionary underwater gadget that can stream live footage onto a smartphone as you fish – and the pre-Christmas campaign for Samuel Windsor’s range of formal menswear, shoes and accessories.
Account Director Chrissie Beatty will lead the PR and marketing campaign, with Jenny Dawson assisting as a key part of her team.
BVG chief executive Iain Burgess said: “We are looking forward to a highly successful and fruitful partnership with Karol. We were impressed with their experience, creativity and the professional way in which Karol pitched their ideas, tailoring the campaigns to our needs.
“This is an exciting time for both parties, with the major launch of a new product and the run up to the important Christmas period for one of our key brands.”
Karol managing director Stefan Lepkowski said: “We’re very excited about the opportunity to work with BVG-Airflo Group and delighted to win the contract, as we were up against some top national agencies.
“It is a real honour to be working with such a high profile company in representing their pre-Christmas campaign with the Samuel Windsor brand and the new product launch for FishSpy.”
