MERCEDES-BENZ CLA COUPÉ UK PRICING AND SPECIFICATION ANNOUNCED

• Range starts with CLA 180 AMG Line, priced from £30,550
• Choice of five petrol engines from launch: 180; 200; 220; 220 4MATIC; and 250
• Three trim lines available, including AMG Line, AMG Line Premium and AMG Line Premium Plus
• Available to order now, with first cars arriving in summer

The new Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé is now on sale, with prices starting from £30,550 for the entry-level CLA 180 AMG Line. The CLA 200 is available from £32,100, while the CLA 220 costs £32,865 or £34,465 for the CLA 220 4MATIC. The range-topping CLA 250 is priced from £33,640.

The CLA 180 and CLA 200 both use a 1.3-litre petrol engine capable of producing 136 hp and 200 Nm or 163 hp and 250 Nm respectively. The 180 and 200 can deliver up to 47.9 mpg on the combined cycle, while the 180 emits 123 g/km of CO₂and the 200 emits 124 g/km.

Available in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive, the CLA 220 features a 2.0-litre petrol engine with an output of 190 hp and 300 Nm. It can deliver up to 41.5 mpg and emits 139 g/km of CO₂ – the 220 4MATIC delivers 40.4 mpg and emits 149 g/km.

The petrol-powered CLA 250 – which uses a 2.0-litre engine – can generate 224 hp and 350 Nm. The 250 can return up to 41.5 mpg and emits 139 g/km of CO₂.

All models will be initially available with a 7G-DCT seven-speed automatic transmission, with a manual gearbox coming later. The diesel-powered CLA 200 d and CLA 220 d will also be added to the line-up later in the year. The CLA Shooting Brake was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and will be going on sale in May.

AMG Line models come as standard with MBUX multimedia system, including ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice recognition; 10.25-inch digital touchscreen infotainment display; seven-inch digital cockpit display; navigation with three years live services; LED high performance headlights; privacy glass; Thermotronic luxury two-zone automatic climate control; Keyless-Go starting function; DAB radio; smartphone integration, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; wireless charging (for compatible phones); heated front seats; leather upholstery, with a choice of four colour options; Parking package; Mirror package; Active Lane Keeping Assist and Speed Limit Assist.

AMG Line Premium trim adds a 10.25-inch digital cockpit display; augmented navigation; a dash cam; ambient lighting, with a choice of 64 colours; 225 w illuminated door sills with ‘Mercedes-Benz’ lettering; rear armrest; Keyless-Go, including keyless lock and unlock.

AMG Line Premium Plus features all of the above equipment, and adds a panoramic sliding sunroof; Multibeam LED headlights and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus; memory seats for the driver and front passenger; Energizing pack – uses a number of the car’s systems to boost driver fitness and wellbeing.

The Driving Assistance package is available for £1,495, and includes Active Blind Spot Assist; Active Braking Assist with cross-traffic function; Active Distance Assist Distronic; Active Emergency Stop Assist; Active Lane-change Assist; Active Speed Limit Assist; Active Steering Assist; Evasive Steering Assist; Pre-Safe Plus; and route-based speed adjustment.
