Following the disheartening 2015 Eurovision result announced in May, music talent spotter, ‘Midas’ aka Dean Maynard (Team Maynard), has been inundated with messages, requesting (telling) him to help find the UK 2016 entry.
This week, Music Mogul Simon Cowell also said he would like to stage a televised contest in the style of X Factor, to select next year’s Eurovision entry. He said, “One hundred percent I have thought about it, the idea that I would take it on for one year and try and get someone to represent the UK, someone undiscovered, I’d love that”
In 2016 the contest will go to Sweden and many believe a Simon Cowell/Team Midas dream team would give us a great chance of reclaiming the Eurovision crown for the first time since 1997.
Dean MD of Team Midas from Durham, UK said, “It would be an absolute honour for Team Midas to work alongside Simon Cowell and help find an act to represent the UK in 2016, our track records speak for themselves and I am confident of a good placing”
