Middlesbrough Election Candidates Confirmed

Screen Shot 2015-04-10 at 14.31.12CANDIDATES have been confirmed for next month’s elections in Middlesbrough following the close of nominations on Thursday (April 9).

Polls are being held for an elected Mayor, alongside Parliamentary, Council and Parish elections.

 

Middlesbrough Mayoral election candidates:

  • David Budd Labour
  • Michael J Carr Independent
  • Lloyd Cole-Nolan Conservative
  • Len Junier Independent
  • Andy Preston Independent
  • Dave Roberts Independent

Middlesbrough Parliamentary candidates:

  • Nigel Baker UKIP
  • Simon Clarke Conservative
  • Hannah Graham Green Party
  • Richard Kilpatrick Liberal Democrats
  • Andy McDonald Labour

A full list of 116 candidates contesting 46 seats on Middlesbrough Council can be found on the Council’s website at www.middlesbrough.gov.uk/elections

Polling stations open at 7am on Thursday, May 7, closing at 10pm.

The count in the Parliamentary election will take place in the Sports Hall at the Southlands Centre off Ormesby Road, Middlesbrough, following the close of voting.

Counts in the Mayoral, Council and Parish elections will take place at the Southlands Centre from noon on Friday, May 8.

The deadline to register to vote in local and general elections is Monday, April 20.
