A by-election is to be held to elect a new member of Middleton St George Parish Council following notice of a vacancy published in February.

Two candidates are set to stand for election to the parish council – Alan James Blacklee and Alex Sinski.

The by-election will take place on Thursday 3 May. Many other councils will be holding Local Government Elections on this date, but this will be the sole election in Darlington on this date.
