East Durham Homes are hosting a ‘Finance Awareness’ session on Wednesday, 23 March, which will offer attendees a range of tips and advice on managing the purse-strings.

Between 1.30pm and 4pm at the landlord’s head office in Peterlee, customers can find out more about managing debt, how to open a bank account and what Universal Credit could mean for them.

Ian Straughan, Customer Involvement Officer, said: “As an organisation we work hard to make sure that our tenants have access to all available support networks should they have concerns about making ends meet.

“No one should feel like they are alone if they are struggling with their finances, and our informal session on the 23rdMarch could really help to shed some light on what could be a worrying and isolating time.”

Transport to attend the course can be arranged, and shopping vouchers will be offered to those who take part.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis – for more information call 0800 032 0835 or email getinvolved@eastdurhamhomes.co.uk
