Moody’s driving forward support of SMEs with unique offering

Moody Logistics is driving forward its support of the small business community with the creation of unique office space and access to services at its Cramlington headquarters.

The family-run transport and storage company has created individual offices, which are suited to firms that can take advantage of Moody’s extensive warehousing and storage facilities.

A £500,000 investment by Moody’s in 2018 resulted in the expansion of its warehousing and storage facility, offering prospective companies access to its services, staff and equipment, such as fork lift operation, stock control, container deliveries and devanning.

Moody’s currently has one business operating from its site, with a further two offices for SMEs at its Bolam Business Park premises.

Caroline Moody, Managing Director of Moody Logistics, said: “As a company we are constantly evolving to provide for our customers, whether it is our core logistic and transport solutions, warehousing capabilities or new services to support the business community further.

“The significant investment at our head office has freed up additional space and created a unique offering for businesses that require a robust warehousing operation. We are able to offer companies access to our broad range of services and expertise, alongside the office space, which is advantageous to any small company. It is also a cost-effective solution as tenants won’t need to take on expensive, long-term leases, which can restrict business growth.”

Established in 1947, Moody Logistics provides pallet delivery, contract logistics, general haulage and container delivery across the UK.

It is one of the founding depots within the PalletEx network, which has access to more than 3,000 vehicles and 90 locations across the country, enabling UK-wide high-volume product deliveries within 24 hours.

Caroline added: “We have continued to grow, year-on-year, and by diversifying further this will set the company up for more success in the future.”
